Janice Lupton
Public Governor

Jan Lupton was elected as a Public Governor in June 2017. Jan put herself forward for the role of governor as she felt her input could balance the governors who have in-depth knowledge of the health system and the public in general. A goal Jan wishes to pursue in her tenure is to become more involved with the structure around mental health.

Jan has spent most of her working life in a business environment in the private sector and feels she can bring this experience to her role as governor. When her children reached a certain age she felt able to return to the business world and proceeded to run two successful start-up businesses for over fifteen years. Jan also feels that she may be able to contribute her experience with charities and local communities that she has been associated with over a period of 30 years.

A sincere hope of hers is that people in the catchment area for Addenbrooke’s not yet directly involved with health, but who may have other skills, will also feel able to contribute to our hospital.
